Enseignement et apprentissage en plein air (toutes disciplines)

We offer guided educational programs for all levels. The subject matter varies according to the age of the school group. Guided walks last about an hour, and we can offer two per group. This educational service is offered free of charge in May, June and September.

We offer in-garden lesson plans, at school lessons and activities based on the NB Science curriculum. We have established lesson plans for Grades 3, 4 & 5, but can also customize/develop lesson plans for any grade. The lessons can include soil science and composting, vegetable growing basics (from seed to harvest), garden habitats and conservation, pollination and pollinators, and plant anatomy. We also emphasize the importance of using organic methods for growing food.

Option of translation in French.

We grow a complete range of hardy fruits, ornamental shrubs and trees, vines and perennials. We grow without the use of pesticides, herbicides or chemical fertilizers. We have a range of activities that would be available for students to do on site. We have done apple picking, nursery tours, but are open to ideas for activities the kids could do here.

Great Minds Think Outside is a hands-on, curriculum-linked, outdoor professional development program that will give teachers and educators the skills, tools, and resources they need to teach their students outside – whatever the subject matter!
