The Centre of Excellence for Energy works with energy sector partners to offer tours of energy facilities (power plants, energy infrastructure) to High School Students in New Brunswick. Tours have to be planned well in advance and are subject to availability. Bilingual or French options may exist depending on location.

When teaching about the environment and climate change, educators are often confronted with questions or reactions from students that can be difficult to navigate. This course will provide you with tools and tactics to address the environment head-on and transform feelings of anxiety into positive environmental action among your students.

L’ éducaton des jeunes au sujet des millieux humides et leurs écosystèmes est une grande partie de la mission chez Canards Illimités Canada. Pour mieux protéger et soutenir nos ressources naturelles tel que les millieux humides, nous devons s’assurer que les jeunes comprennent les concepts et les méthodes de conservation.

Educating youth about wetland ecosystems is a big part of Ducks Unlimited Canada's (DUC) mission. To protect and sustain the health of our natural resources like wetlands, we need to make sure young people understand conservation concepts and practices.

During this outdoor field trip, students will visit the Marysville Flats located in Marysville, New Brunswick, to learn about watersheds and thier inhabitants. Students will learn about what watersheds are and how they work through games, story telling and exploration of the Marysville flats restoration site. Topics touched on will be flooding, erosion, plant adaptations and ecosystem services.

During this school or classroom visit, students will be learning all about watersheds, what they are, how they function and who lives there. If the school property has the resource, we will visit a neighboring body of water or forested area to explore and connect with the flora and fauna who live there. Priority will be give to schools located within the Nashwaak watershed.

Le ABVBS offre des présentations environnementales dans les salles de classe, principalement pour les écoles situées dans le territoire du bassin versant de la baie de Shediac. Les présentations sont principalement basées sur les thèmes suivants :

- Biodiversité
- Les salmonidés
- Qualité de l'eau et écosystèmes aquatiques
- Conservation de l'eau et gestion des eaux pluviales

Chaque présentation est adaptée pour correspondre aux programmes d'études scientifiques des classes de la 3e à la 12e année.

The SBWA offers environmental presentations in the classrooms, primarily for schools located in the Shediac Bay watershed territory. Presentations are largely based on the following themes :

- Biodiversity
- Salmonids
- Water Quality and Aquatic Ecosystems
- Water Conservation and Stormwater Management

Each presentation is adapted to correspond to the science curriculums for grades 3 to 12.

- Qualité de l'eau et écosystèmes aquatiques
- Conservation de l'eau et gestion des eaux pluviales
- Changement climatique et érosion côtière

Chaque présentation est adaptée pour correspondre au programme d'études scientifiques pour les classes de la 3e à la 12e année.

Each presentation is adapted to correspond to the science curriculum for grades 3 to 12.

Stonehammer UNESCO Global Geopark in class and field trip programs and workshops focus on the rock cycle and minerals "the building blocks of rock" which is curriculum-based hands-on learning. Students learn about the 3 rocks types and earth processes in a 1.5 hour hands-on workshop or a field trip near their school at one of our Geosites. Also highlighted is What is a UNESCO Global? And why Southern New Brunswick was designated as the First UNESCO Geopark in North America!
