Purpose: CPAWS NB advocates for the effective, long-term protection of ecologically- and culturally-significant land, freshwater and ocean areas in New Brunswick. Working in a way that respects the sovereignty and leadership of Indigenous nations, we achieve our mission through knowledge-based advocacy, and public education and engagement, underpinned by collaboration and partnership.
Activities: To encourage the protection of NB's natural ecosystems in parks and other protected or conserved areas, through education, cooperative projects, and activities and events that connect people to nature and create a constituency of people who want nature to be protected. We engage in respectful government relations to encourage strong actions to conserve and protect nature, on land and sea.
