We have several sites to choose from, such as the Irving Nature Park, the Marsh Creek Wetland, the Reversing Falls, and the Saint John Harbour. At each site, we will guide you through various activities, such as hiking, fishing, birdwatching, water quality testing, and more. "Sometimes it’s obvious when a chemical is hazardous, for example, those that cause a rash of coughing from breathing the fumes. New Brunswick is lucky to experience relatively clean air, but it remains a growing threat. More people are turning to wood-burning heating options to save money, and climate change is driving hotter, drier summers with more intense wildfires. As we've seen in the summer of 2023, the smoke from these fires can travel thousands of kilometres!

Air pollution affects everyone - especially children. Kids’ lungs are still developing. They breathe more quickly than adults, which means they breathe more air, and more air pollution.

We would love to engage your class in environmental education whether it's a classroom session or outdoor field trip! We have previously hosted angling activities, bioblitz adventures, and benthics (riverbed bugs) demonstrations. We can also organize a visit to one of our rain gardens or restoration sites, or involve the kids in volunteer work such as bird box building, tree planting or willow cutting. The programs we can offer are dependent on available funding, but feel free to reach out and we can determine the activity that's right for you.
