NBEN member groups are environmental non-profits that have as one of their prime objectives the enhancing or furthering of environmental quality, protecting the environment, or carrying out environmental education, and who agree with the mission and the goals of the NBEN. Associate members may also include any environmental committee of another organization. They will be featured at the top of all search results and their listings will have icons showing their active membership status. Look for the logo for local knowledge and resources!

Have you ever wondered how the wheels turn at Eco360’s Waste Management Facility? We can show you! Contact us to arrange a tour and see from the scales at the entrance to the top of the landfill and everything in between.
A tour of Eco360 will include a presentation about our operations and waste sorting and (when possible) a tour around the site, including the sorting facility, compost facility, landfill, public drop-off, C&D landfill, etc.

EcoSchools Canada
EcoSchools Canada offers a certification program for elementary through secondary schools, nurturing environmental learning and climate action. Our innovative and bilingual certification program is free for publicly funded schools, it helps to incentivize, track and reward environmental actions that reduce energy and waste, raise awareness and incorporate environmental learning into curriculum.

The EcoSchools program is both a framework and a toolbox for taking action and engaging in environmental education. For students, the program provides opportunities for leadership, connection with classmates in different grade levels via peer-to-peer mentorship, and a way to learn about sustainability while having fun. For teachers, the EcoSchools program integrates seamlessly with curricula across Canada and offers unique opportunities for learning.

L'enquête "Perspectives des Canadiens sur les changement climatiques et l'éducation" réalisée en 2022 par L'éducation au service de la Terre auprès de 6 500 parents, enseignants, étudiants et membres du grand public a révélé que 73 % des Canadiens estiment que nous vivons une situation d'urgence climatique et que 67 % d'entre eux pensent que les écoles doivent accorder une plus grande priorité à l'éducation au changement climatique.

Centre of Excellence for Energy
The Centre of Excellence for Energy works with energy sector partners to offer tours of energy facilities (power plants, energy infrastructure) to High School Students in New Brunswick. Tours have to be planned well in advance and are subject to availability. Bilingual or French options may exist depending on location.

Fairlight Farm & Forest Centre
"Fairlight Farm & Forest Centre is run by Leah ""Sparrow"" Houghton, who has extensive teaching experience in outdoor settings and specializes in survival skills and farm animals. The many farm animals (horses, pigs, chickens, cow, goats, pony) are a big draw, as children can participate in chores and learn about livestock care and food security. The farm also has an outdoor classroom and multiple camps in the 40 acres of mixed hardwood/softwood forest and a stream for exploring.

Join us in a Food Miles Journey with Sydney from SucSeed.
We will learn about what food miles are, how we can reduce food miles, why reducing our food miles are important for people and the planet, and we will all do a real life example together! We will also have a Q&A session at the end to ask any questions.

Great Minds Think Outside is a hands-on, curriculum-linked, outdoor professional development program that will give teachers and educators the skills, tools, and resources they need to teach their students outside – whatever the subject matter!

L'éducation au service de la Terre
Participants will learn the importance of incorporating the SDGs across the curriculum and the crucial role that education plays. Educators will learn about the SDGs, how they are interconnected and ways of incorporating the SDGs in schools as well as how they can support schools that would like to include the SDGs in their school programming. They will see examples of how schools are currently incorporating the SDGs and be inspired by the many action projects happening across the country.

Éco-Centre Irving, la Dune de Bouctouche
We offer guided educational programs for all levels. The subject matter varies according to the age of the school group. Guided walks last about an hour, and we can offer two per group. This educational service is offered free of charge in May, June and September.
Écocentre Homarus Ecocentre
Le Laboratoire Mobile est une extension de l'Écocentre Homarus qui nous permet de vous rendre visite directement en salle de classe. Les présentations sont accompagnées d'organismes vivants du milieu marin côtier afin d'animer des activités éducatives et interactives qui s'intègrent dans les programmes d'études de sciences. Des sessions d'environ une heure encourageront l'initiation et l'enseignement des sciences par le biais d'observations, de manipulations et d'échanges avec un expert dans le domaine.
