Purpose: Our goal is to empower the community through collaborative efforts, fostering engagement, and creating awareness. Our mandate encompasses mobilizing residents, NGOs, and municipalities in the region to accelerate the development of climate adaptation and mitigation plans. We are committed to ensuring these plans integrate a social equity lens, leaving no community behind in the transition towards a sustainable and resilient future.
Activities: Cultivate collaboration amongst environmental, social aid, and justice-oriented NGOs, residents, and municipalities to create a coalition for effective climate action Prioritize social equity by focusing on marginalized, underserved, and at-risk communities, ensuring their voices are heard and needs addressed in climate initiatives Education and outreach initiatives aimed at raising awareness on climate change, adaptation, and mitigation strategies
