Purpose: The St. John River Society exists for the appreciation and wise use of the natural and cultural resources of the St. John River watershed. Key program areas for the Society are access, recognition, education and sustainable management of the watershed.
Activities: We undertake projects that benefit watershed groups that work along the river. We hold the deeds for 13 heritage steamboat wharves that are maintained and insured by the Society to guarantee public access to the River.
