Purpose: Research, action, education and planning on issues to do with energy, climate change, water and sustainable community development in southeast New Brunswick.
Activities: Public education; school visits; workshops; community planning; sustainable development; planting rain gardens; bulk purchases of solar panels, sump pumps, compost bins, emergency kits, etc; draft-proofing work parties; preparing for flooding and climate change adaptation; Chignecto Watersheds Committee and water monitoring; Chignecto Climate Change Collaborative; Tantramar Climate Change Week; rural transportation projects including car shares and EV charging stations, etc., promoting renewable energy such as solar power; and public consultation with regard to energy conservation and renewable energy production in the Tantramar region, rain gardens, green roofs, natural infrastructure.
