Purpose: The New Brunswick Invasive Species Council (NBISC) is a provincial, non-profit organization that brings people and organizations together to prevent the introduction and spread of invasive species. Through collaboration, education, and coordinated action, we support healthy ecosystems and communities across New Brunswick.
Activities: NBISC works collaboratively to prevent the introduction and spread of invasive species in New Brunswick through education, outreach, training, and coordinated action. We build capacity among municipalities, environmental organizations, Indigenous communities, industry, and recreational users by delivering behaviour change programs such as Clean, Drain, Dry; developing practical resources and beneficial management practices; supporting invasive species monitoring and reporting; facilitating provincial partnerships; and providing technical guidance to help protect New Brunswick's ecosystems and biodiversity.
