At The Gaia Project, we use a unique approach to empower youth, K-12, to take action. We incorporate inquiry-based education, curriculum links, and local action in each of our projects.

EOS can offer presentations, workshops, webinars and hands-on experiences related to climate change. We can tailor things to meet your needs and have a variety of educational resources related to climate change adaptation, energy efficiency and renewable energy. Examples shown in the images are workshops on understanding watersheds, flooding and pollution with our watershed table, hands on water quality testing with our youth Water Rangers Kits, and making and racing solar cars.

"Sometimes it’s obvious when a chemical is hazardous, for example, those that cause a rash of coughing from breathing the fumes. Other chemicals cause no immediate or clear symptoms but can have some of the most insidious long-term health effects – particularly when exposure occurs in-utero or during early childhood.

The Healthy Homes project is designed to introduce families to common in-home sources of toxins and provide practical, affordable solutions to limit potentially toxic contact in their day-to-day life.

New Brunswick is lucky to experience relatively clean air, but it remains a growing threat. More people are turning to wood-burning heating options to save money, and climate change is driving hotter, drier summers with more intense wildfires. As we've seen in the summer of 2023, the smoke from these fires can travel thousands of kilometres!

Air pollution affects everyone - especially children. Kids’ lungs are still developing. They breathe more quickly than adults, which means they breathe more air, and more air pollution.

This is a teacher's workshop to learn how to teach the basics about rock identification. Provided with the workshop are classroom-ready teaching resources including, a comprehensive Pebble Guide (based on the Science 4 Properties and Uses of Earth Materials curriculum); a field journal; and a pencil case filled with a magnifier, ruler, pencil, eraser and sharpener. The teachers will be guided through a rock identification exercise using pebbles that are representative of some of the common rock names of igneous, sedimentary and metamorphic rock types.

Apporter vos élèves sur une visite éducative au Zoo de Magnetic Hill pour apprendre davantage sur la conservation des animaux ainsi que les habitats des animaux.

Les visiteurs peuvent profiter d’une promenade extérieure de deux kilomètres pour observer les animaux. L’accès aux aires d’observation des animaux intérieures, au terrain de jeux, à la boutique de cadeaux, au Bistro, aux machines distributrices, aux zones de contact avec les animaux et les promenades en poney pourraient également être offert.

Plan an educational school field trip to the Magnetic Hill Zoo so that the students can learn more about animal conservation and animal habitats!

Visitors can enjoy a 2 kilometer walk outdoors to view animals. Other amenities could include indoor animal viewing areas, playground, gift shop, the Bistro, vending machine, animal contact areas, and pony rides.

Les grands penseurs se rencontrent dehors est un programme de perfectionnement professionnel pratique, relié au programme d’études et en plein air qui offre aux enseignants et aux éducateurs les compétences, les outils et les ressources nécessaires pour enseigner aux élèves en plein air quel que soit le sujet!

Le programme surveillez vos pattes est un programme éducatif basé sur la nature qui enseignera à vos élèves tout ce qu'il faut savoir sur la faune et la flore du Nouveau-Brunswick. Le programme se déroule en deux parties, la première étant une présentation interactive en classe, suivie d'un défi d'action dans la nature.
