#DebrisFreeFundy Initiative

The Huntsman Marine Science Centre is a private not-for-profit with an oceans focused mission located in St. Andrews, New Brunswick. The Huntsman's Education & Outreach department focuses on the operation of the Fundy Discovery Aquarium, the education of thousands of students and a strong outreach component within our #DebrisFreeFundy initiative.

The Huntsman started the #DebrisFreeFundy initiative to education community members about marine debris and its impact on wildlife and the marine environment. This initiative continues to grow within two main areas: wharf-side rope collection & repurposing and community outreach and engagement.

Virtual classroom visits are extremely flexible and can be adjusted to fit with topics students are learning as well as the grade level of students. Outreach staff are happy to put together presentations that fit with your classroom and are open to new ideas!
