Using some of the walking trails on the 1100 acre Meduxnekeag Valley Nature Preserve, we demonstrate the sort of experience we can offer to classes from K-12, including both nature walks and science workshops. This is primarily for teachers in ASD-W, where class busing costs are picked up by the District directly, but may also be worthwhile for teachers in other parts of the Province who may be able to access a comparable local resource.

Un projet du Conseil de Conservation de Nouveau-Brunswick

The Conservation Council's Learning Outside project encourages teachers to teach existing curriculum outside. We are available to lead outdoor educational activities linked to curriculum. We base our activities on the needs of teachers and their students and highlight the natural features on and near their school grounds, as well as seasonal happenings in nature. We lead games and activities on themes including habitats, food chains and food webs, NB trees and plants, adaptations to winter (animals and plants), pollinators, birds, frogs, ecosystems, wetlands, Atlantic salmon, and more.
